Job Description
As a Cashier at B2B Supermarket, you will be responsible for ensuring that each customer enjoys a smooth and efficient checkout experience. You’ll handle a variety of transactions, from processing payments to assisting customers with any queries or issues. Your attention to detail and customer service skills will help to ensure customer satisfaction, maintaining the supermarket’s high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle Transactions: Operate the cash register, managing cash, card, and other forms of payment with accuracy and efficiency.
- Customer Assistance: Process purchases quickly, ensuring accuracy in scanning products, applying discounts, and confirming prices.
- Balance Registers: Regularly balance the cash register, generate sales reports, and ensure accuracy of transactions at all times.
- Customer Support: Assist customers with inquiries, product returns, and exchanges, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Maintain Checkout Area: Keep the checkout area clean and organized, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
- Monitor Stock Levels: Keep an eye on stock levels at the counter, promptly reporting any shortages to management.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
- Basic math and computer skills are essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
